On 13 December 2024, we met Marc Lalanne. He really liked the wine. We report this appreciation from our meeting with the wine merchant.

Marc Lalanne and Le Vin Poète

Marc Lalanne is the wine merchant at Le Vin Poète, whose website presents its shops in Le Poët-Laval and Dieulefit. The Fédération des Cavistes Indépendants published an article dated 9 December 2020 announcing his Maître Caviste distinction. The listing for his shop in Le Poët-Laval also records this distinction.

Maître Caviste is a distinction awarded by the Fédération des Cavistes Indépendants, as explained in its FAQ. The federation's sources document Marc Lalanne's professional background; the appreciation of the wine reported in this article comes from our account of the meeting. The vintage and label tasted are not identified in this account.

From cooking to food and wine pairings

On the page about his background, Marc Lalanne and Véronique present their book Fragrances et Caudalies, born from their interest in cooking. The Fédération des Cavistes Indépendants describes it as a work bringing together wine advice and culinary pairings. For the red wine currently offered by Les Hermessaines, our black-truffle pairing guide draws on its technical sheet.

The red wine offered today

The Côtes du Rhône red 2024 currently offered by Les Hermessaines comes under three labels: L’Automne, Résonance and Le Trésor de Fripon. They contain the same wine, produced by EARL DU GRAND BOIS and resold by MGCODB. The shared red 2024 wine sheet specifies its blend and serving guidance. The 75 cl bottles cost €10 each or €50 for a case of six, including VAT and excluding shipping; see bottles and cases to prepare your enquiry.

For a restaurant wine list, a wine shop or a quantity purchase, the professional enquiry lets you specify your activity, the bottles requested and the destination. MGCODB sets the terms in a quotation.
